Thank you for your interest in being one of the Foundation for Leon County School’s local celebrity singers for its second annual Karaoke for Kids event. This fun-for-all event will be on Friday, March 21, from 6:30-9:30 PM at The Moon. This event raises CFEF legislative matching grant dollars that fund the Innovative Teacher Grants program. Below are some things to note upon registration:
1. Each celebrity karaoke singer must raise a minimum of $2,500 for the Foundation for Leon County Schools. We will provide a complete fundraising kit to assist with your fundraising efforts, including:
• An individual donor site with a link for fundraising
• Four (4) social media graphic templates and a digital frame/overlay for posting, along with sample captions
• Two email/letter templates
• A suggested timeline for digital and email marketing
2. Individuals, duets, trios, or quartets are welcome to participate; however, acts with more than one person simply need to raise $2,500 collectively, not individually.
3. Singers can select any song of their choice. All songs should be identified and given to the event coordinator by March 10, 2025, to ensure the desired song is available in a karaoke format.
4. Singers will have the opportunity to practice at The Moon prior to the event. The date and time for practice has not been determined at this time, but we’ll keep you updated.
5. Each singer will receive eight (8) complimentary tickets for the event.
6. Upon registration, we ask you to upload your headshot and bio to include on your donor fundraising site.
7. We will give awards in the following categories: Top Fundraiser, Best Solo Performance, Best Group Performance, Best Costume, Most Spirited, and Audience Choice.
