13th Annual Friends of the Foundation Soiree

The 13th Annual Soiree was held on October 28 at the FSU Alumni Center.  It was an evening of fellowship, fun and food.  We had a silent auction with some great items including a car, vacation homes, and much more.  For entertainment the Lincoln High School Rock Ensemble performed. We were able to raise almost $40,000 for our Innovative Teacher grant program.

Thank you to:

Premier Sponsor –  Envision Credit Union

$5,000 Sponsor – Capital City Bank

$2,000 Sponsors – BowStern & Fast Signs.

Since 1986, the Foundation has earmarked more than $3 million to bring to our public schools resources and programs that are not supported by tax dollars. The Foundation is grateful for a community that understands that our economic prosperity and high-quality public schools are directly connected.

12th Annual Soiree Recap

The COVID-19 pandemic forced us and many others to alter the ways that special events took place in 2020. We were unable to have our usual in-person event and had to switch to a virtual format. We are so thankful for those supporters who contributed to our 12th Annual Virtual Soiree and made it a success. We were able to raise over $30,000.

All funds raised through our annual Soiree event are used for teacher innovation grants. One of the exciting aspects of the Soiree is that all funds are matched dollar for dollar due to the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program operated by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations.

For the 2020-21 school year we awarded 30 Innovative Teacher Grants totaling over $120,000.

Once again thank you to all of our wonderful supporters!
